Collabs and more

First, I'm in the new issue of Good To Know Zine! It's full of sweet advice and stories from other artists. I recommend buying it. There's also a preview where you can read my story (it's with the illustration I did of people's shoes). It tell an embarrassing story of my happy ignorance when it came (comes?) to art. The PDF is also 2.50....you have that laying around. I know it.
.
In other news, I love collaborations! In celebration of Feast, debuting at SprinCon, I'm posting some old collaborative drawings I did with Mr. Evan Palmer. As most know, Feast was written by me and drawn by Evan. It's about a group of wild girls standing up to a manbeast. It's gotten pretty good feedback so far. Evan hasn't scanned any pages yet so if you didn't see it at SpringCon you'll have to wait. If anyone WANTS a copy, it's three bucks a pop.

Anyways. These sketches were done over a year ago, Evan penciling one part and me the other, then each of us inking the others pencils.

This piggy one was for a children's story I wrote that Evan was going to illustrate. Sadly, it has yet to be born into existence.

And now some of my own art. A drawing that didn't make the cut for my show:

This drawing WAS in my show, but it was transfered onto a painted canvas.

Photo dump

Lotsa photos from my solo show.

Extra special thanks to Heather Buscho, Alison Stump, 2D Cloud Studios, Erik Schuster Christina Beard, and Evan Palmer for pretty much doing everything that needed to be done for Spring Con.

Oh, and thanks for everyone who stopped by.

SPRING CON!

To the man who bought the princess book for his kids and said he makes up stories all the time, feel free to email me! I love collaborations and I'd love to help make something special for your kids!

First Ever Super Exciting Art Show

Come to the opening reception of my first ever solo art show! My work will be up all weekend so if you can't make it to the opening, you should swing by another time to check it out!

This is also Art-A-Whirl weekend so be sure to walk around and see the other open studios nearby.

Hours for the show:
Friday, May 14th - 5:00-10:00 p.m (the opening reception).
Saturday, May 15th - Noon-8:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 16th - Noon-5:00 p.m .

Vegan cupcakes will be provided at the opening by Heather Buscho. There will also be some wine (thanks Erik Schuster!) that'll probably go pretty fast. So get there early.

The show is at 2D Cloud Studio (1620 Central Ave NE Suite 204, Minneapolis). It's a really awesome location (lots of other neato studios next door) and a really sweet looking space!

Expect some old work, but also expect lots of never-before-seen fleshy monsters/long lady fingers/babies/and praying mothers. Also, it took me FOREVER to name this show, when really, it should have been the easiest thing ever. uhg.

Comics

Just some quick comics I doodled while waiting for other ink to dry

On a side note, i'm the only person at work who wears an apron with the string tied in the front. It's just easier that way!
